A warm welcome to Kirkbride a Primary School. We are a Cumbrian village school with provision for children between the age of 3 to eleven. The school is near the west coast of Cumbria and six miles from the nearest town where we thrive on the cohesion of the local area. We currently have 75 children in school and because we encourage open communication between home and school we know both the children and their families very well. Our school provides a safe environment where the children are respected and listened to. Our learning programme is both innovative and interesting and pupils enjoy out of school activities and visiting places of interest. These activities provide the children with an underpinning knowledge of their own culture.Our latest Ofsted Inspection reports that our progress is moving forward and accelerating from a ‘Satisfactory’ performance. And in addition to this we pride ourselves in providing good quality support for both educational and personal needs.
